Light Periods

Cycles remaining regular but the bleed reducing to just a few days of light spotting.

Biological Mechanism

As absolute estrogen levels inevitably drop in late transition, the uterine lining simply doesn't build up as thick. When the lining sheds, there represents less volume.

Common Misdiagnoses

Pregnancy (always worth checking if late!), Premature Ovarian Insufficiency (if under 40)
